chapter nine

The Plate of Life: An allegory.
Confronting resistance to change.
Coming to terms with obsolete priorities.
Recreating your life as a joyous reflection of who you really are.

p84 This ritual can be performed endlessly. Any of an infinite number of combinations of possibilities can be placed on a clean plate, in the experience of visiting the table. Yet, eventually, one tires of the table. Eventually, one has tasted and satisfied oneself with so many variations on so many themes, that one does not feel the need to experience the table. One becomes aware that there is not the hunger for the selections on the table that once there was. In fact, one becomes aware that one is able to live quite happily without visiting the table at all. For the fullness of all the experiences at the table leaves one infinitely nourished, and one feels quite content to be still. Just to Be.
