chapter nine

The Plate of Life: An allegory.
Confronting resistance to change.
Coming to terms with obsolete priorities.
Recreating your life as a joyous reflection of who you really are.

p86 To attain that level of beingness, one’s plate, by definition, would have been cleared of superfluous choices. There would have been an awareness, in the process, that one cannot travel with ease, focused on the metaphysical, while bearing the burden of a heavily laden plate. And radical choices would have been made that would enable that individual to explore the unlimited possibilities of flying to the heights of human experience, without having to be concerned with balancing one. In these times, many have sought instinctively to simplify their experience, and stand ready to teach others, by example, to do the same.
