The significance of the karmic adversary.
The fallacy of “forgiveness.”
| p61 | The fallacy inherent in the common usage of the term karmic is that there is a certain degree of inevitability built into the relationship and, with that, a degree of relinquishing of responsibility for one’s own role in the interaction. The blessed opportunity built in to relationships that are said to be karmic and that are predominantly adversarial, is that each person who is cast in lifetime after lifetime of the same old story is a seasoned actor, who knows the role and the lines by heart. The gift in such a relationship is to recognize the Godliness in the adversarial role, to recognize the Godliness in one’s own reaction of diminished vibration, and to allow the love that truly exists at the higher level between these individuals to surface and to grow. For, each one has been cast in the given role by choice. And each has the opportunity to transcend the drama and learn the lesson by choice. |
