| p384 | When you are able to transcend the ego focus with which you have each been equipped, you are able to truly embrace another being and to recognize Self in and through that connection. That does not presuppose that each of you is a duplicate of the other. That does not mean that one of you has acquiesced with regard to core issues. And it does not indicate that you have, necessarily, completed the work you have come together to do. The recognition of Self in the form of another is an attestation to the true essence of the very differences that prove most challenging. And it is evidence of the depth of contrast without which there can be no harmony. |
