| p381 | If you choose to experience your recognition of your innate Divinity through an expression of austerity, then by all means do so. But be clear about your motives for that demonstration. If your purpose is to show others your level of connectedness with the One Divine Presence, you have defeated that purpose by demonstrating yourself to be separate from All that comprise it. If your purpose is to hide on a remote mountaintop and impress only God with your austerities, know that you have succeeded only in demonstrating your separation from that Source in so doing. For there is no need for you to try to earn what you already Are. |
