| p172 | The opportunity for those of you who will bear witness to such events is to be able to honor the perfection in the process of another and to resist the temptation to intervene and attempt to save someone from what he is trying to achieve as a soul. It may appear that to do so would be heartless, in profound circumstances. Yet, to refrain from saving another from his perfectly created lesson would be the higher gift. For, the preservation of physical form is surely not the ultimate basis for action in all cases. It may well be that certain individuals may have sufficiently backed themselves into a corner, experientially, and the potential suffering posed by retaining physical form would far outweigh the advantages of lifesaving heroics. |
